The Employer Portal Allows employers to submit a job offer to Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) when a foreign worker is hired under the international mobility program and the position is exempt from LMIA.
The employer must prepare the information concerning his company, the foreign worker, the position offered, the salary, working hours and conditions of employment.
The employer connects to the employers portal and completes the required forms, including business, foreign worker, employment, salary and benefits information.
Once the information and documents have been validated, the employer submits the offer on the portal and pays the required costs. He then sends the offer number to the worker for his work permit application.
The request is made online in the IRCC Employer Portal. The employer must create or use his account, complete the job offer, provide the requested information and submit it before the foreign worker submits his application for a work permit.
An authorized representative may also submit the offer in the name of the employer, provided that the latter assigns a secondary user account to him in the employer portal.
The submission of the job offer in the employers portal is an online approach. The deadline depends in particular on the completeness of the information provided and the necessary checks. Once the offer is submitted, the worker can use the job offer number to apply for a work permit.
