The Employer Statement is an approach that allows an employer to provide the required information about their business, the position offered, the foreign worker and the conditions of employment, in order to meet the requirements of the Canadian authorities for the hiring of foreign workers.
The employer must collect information concerning his company, the position offered, the salary, the working hours, the employment conditions as well as the information on the foreign worker.
The employer completes the return with accurate and job-consistent information. Depending on the program concerned, the declaration may be submitted via the appropriate portal or official form.
Authorities can verify the information provided and request additional documents. Once the declaration has been accepted or the process completed, the worker can continue his application for immigration or work permits, depending on the program concerned.
The declaration of the employer is made to the competent government authorities, according to the immigration or work program concerned. The employer must provide accurate information and, when required, submit the requested documents and certificates. The information provided can, in particular, be used to verify the authenticity of the job offer and the compliance of the employer.
Deadlines vary depending on the immigration program, type of declaration and responsible authority. They may also depend on the complexity of the file and the need to provide additional information or documents.
It is therefore recommended to verify the official deadlines applicable at the time of submission.
